Hello my loves. Before I vanish into the jetstreams and land in Espana there are some things I need you to take note of.
1. Your O Level Exam on Monday: remember the following-
a) Bring your confirmation slip (the A4-size piece of paper with what subjects you're taking and all that info), because that's your entry proof and you need it for all your O-level papers. Plus if you don't have it I am not going to be there to plead with Ms Shamsiah to print it for you again;
b) Bring your IC or EZ-link card, because they need photo identification (the invigilators are from another school, they are not Yuhua teachers who know you);
c) Please bring your thermometers in case they decide they want to take your temperatures before the exam;
d) Sleep well the night before, because hysterically reading Chinese phrases and idioms the night before an exam is not going to improve your Chinese by leaps and bounds.
2. The class chalet booking I am settling with Ai Poh. Wei Jie, please get your Organising Comm organised so that you can settle stuff like who's doing the food, who's bringing games (PSP not counted because those are antisocial and I will break any PSP that I see people playing - yes I will get violent) and other important things.
People who haven't paid for the overnight thing are: Rahul, Ai Poh, Sumathi, Min Er, Jocelyn, Erin, Yu Xin and Eugene. Please pay up ASAP to Minnie. Minnie will pass all the money to Ai Poh.
Another note about this class chalet thing: I am not the one organising it, your class is (albeit collectively). I am not giving consent forms, neither is this a school event; please ensure you convey the correct message to your parents. Also because I am going to be the only adult there, please don't do anything stupid that requires calling of parents, ambulance, police or fire brigade.
Please also don't do anything stupid that requires me slapping you on the face, because I will if necessary.
3. You may have realised by now that I have not given you any holiday homework. (!!!!) This is because (as usual) I was completely tied up with other things. Do not rejoice! The homework will appear when I return from Spain. You will still have 1.5 weeks of holiday to do it. And it's not difficult, so no excuses. People who are going to be away, like Tongjing and Sahil, I will give you extra time to do when school re-opens.
4. Nicholas, can you go ahead and get the class T-shirts done? Collect the money during the supplementary and get some of your classmates to go down to the place and help you carry. If you need to store them somewhere, bring them to school and ask one of the teachers to let you into the staffroom to leave them at my table. Then we can give them out at the chalet. Oh and don't forget to make one for me!!!! :D
Hmm I think that's all I have to say for now. I will get to check my email on the trip so when you read this post, please tag on the board so that I know you've read. Thanks, and all the best for the exam on Monday! Will miss you guys. :)
Love
Ms Straaten
